Shipping Methods

Our goal is to offer you the fastest and lowest-cost shipping method. We use several shipping carriers including United Parcel Service (UPS), Federal Express (FedEx), and the United States Postal Service (USPS). Some oversized or special handling orders will need to be shipped via Common Carrier. The shipping charge will be noted at Checkout, and approximate shipping time will follow shortly by e-mail. Delivery of oversized or special handling orders will require an adult signature at the time of delivery. Shipping is free on most all items. This free shipping applies only to the US 48 contiguous states. Shipping to Hawaii, Alaska and Puerto Rico does have extra shipping charges that will be charged before items are shipped. Freight will be collected upon delivery for some items such as roll bars, crate engines and some other large palletized shipments. We will contact all of these customers to ensure knowledge of shipping charges before any extra charges are billed.

Split Shipments

For multiple-item orders, we attempt to ship the whole order from the location closest to you. This is not always possible due to the items selected, availability of the parts, and the time it takes to receive some special order items from a manufacturer. When it is not possible to ship your entire order from a shipping center closest to you, we will split the order and ship from multiple shipping centers. At this time, we do not offer the option to hold all items for same time delivery.

Shipment Delivery Time

Your expected delivery date is determined by the date of shipment from our shipping centers and the shipping preference you select. Your purchase of in-stock merchandise will be shipped on the day you order if the shipping center receives the order prior to 6 PM Monday through Friday, not including standard business holidays. Orders received by the shipping center after 6 PM local time will be shipped the next business day. Special orders and out-of-stock merchandise may require additional time prior to shipment. Your expected delivery date will be presented to you shortly after the time of your order. If shipment of your order is delayed, The Mustang Shop of San Diego will notify you by email. In the case of 2 day or 3 day shipping, we will make every effort to get you the part in time, but please call to check if that part in stock.

Shipping Charges

Your shipping charge will be based on the weight of your order, the distance shipped, and the method you select when ordering. This includes items shipped in multiple boxes and/or from multiple locations. We charge standard UPS rates. Free Shipping is based in the continental United States only. Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and APO/FPO Military addresses should please call for a shipping quote. For shipments requested going to an address other than the billing address on file with the card holder’s credit card company will be assessed a $14.95 fee for additional investigative procedures. You can thank the credit card companies for their lack of merchant protection for this fee.

Orders Damaged in Shipping

If you believe a package received from us was damaged in transit, please refuse shipment and tell the carrier that you are refusing delivery because the package is damaged. Then call us, (619-269-0964) to inform us of the situation. If you are not present at the time of delivery and cannot refuse shipment, please call us to make arrangements to return the damaged order.

Order Processing

When placing an order with The Mustang Shop of San Diego, your credit card statement will show the billing business as “The Mustang Shop of San Diego”.

Cancelled Orders

If you enter the incorrect billing information during your order, we reserve the right to cancel the order without contacting you.

Shipping Refunds

Your original shipping charge will only be refunded for a part sent to you in error, a defective part, an order damaged in shipping, or a part that fails under warranty. This refund will automatically be credited once we receive and inspect the part. If only a portion of your order is returned, the refund for shipping costs will be prorated. Please see the Returns Policy for further details.

We will also pay for return shipping for a part that was sent to you in error, received defective, damaged in shipping, or has failed under warranty. Details can be found in the Returns Policy. If you believe you qualify and would like us to pay for return shipping, you must call us at 619-269-0964 before attempting to return the part. COD shipments will not be accepted.

Return Policies

General Guidelines

Please Call 619-269-0964 to obtain a returned goods authorization (RGA)number.

Items received without an RGA will be refused.

No Refunds on Electrical, Special Order, Used, Non-Stock Items or Special Event Registration.

Order cancellations are subject to a 10% cancellation fee, which occur for special ordered items and wait-listed back-ordered items.

There are no cancellations after the item(s) have shipped, a return must be initiated.

Returned Items that do not meet the requirements stated in our Return Policy could be subject to a 20% restocking fee.

The Mustang Shop of San Diego will only apply credit to the credit card originally used for the purchase.

The customer has 30 days from date of purchase to return new parts purchased from The Mustang Shop of San Diego.

Exact replacements can only be given for a defective part you received, a warranty part still under full coverage, a part damaged in shipping, or a part sent in error.

We will not ship a replacement part before receiving the returned part or proper tracking is given.

We will not accept C.O.D. deliveries for shipped returns.

We will not accept returns on any race part or custom-made part.

Any part returned will be subject to inspection to determine refund amount for merchandise and shipping costs. This amount may be less than original payment based on condition of return.

Parts Damaged in Shipping, Warranty Parts, Parts Received Defective and Parts Sent In Error

If you have been inconvenienced by a part that was damaged in shipping, received defective or sent in error:

We will provide a replacement or refund for any such item returned within 30 days of the original ship date.

Any defective part you receive is covered under our warranty program.

If you choose a refund for the part, we will refund your shipping and handling expenses for a part sent to you in error, received defective, or damaged in shipping. This refund will be automatically credited upon receipt and inspection of the part. If only a portion of your order is returned, the refund for shipping costs will be prorated.

If you choose to exchange the part for a duplicate, you will not be responsible for the shipping and handling charges on the replacement part. Shipping and handling charges on the original part will be applied to the replacement; they will not be refunded. Exchanges for unlike parts require a refund and new purchase.

We will also pay for return shipping to The Mustang Shop of San Diego for a part sent to you in error, received defective, or damaged in shipping. If you believe you qualify and want The Mustang Shop of San Diego to pay for return shipping, you must call us at 619-269-0964 before attempting to return the part. C.O.D. shipments will not be accepted.

If you indicate “Exchange (EX)” (exact same item) on a shipped return, a replacement order will be automatically generated to ship to the address of the original order.

Core Returns

Core returns are the responsibility of the customer. The Mustang Shop of San Diego will not pay shipping costs for core returns to The Mustang Shop of San Diego. C.O.D. shipments will not be accepted. Core returns not meeting these guidelines will be deemed ineligible for credit:

Core credits will only be issued for the exact number of units purchased. The core credit will not exceed the original core deposit.

Cores must be returned within 30 days of the ship date of the new product to be eligible for core credit.

Cores that are returned in weathered or rusted condition or with broken, cracked, or damaged housings are not eligible for credit. Cores returned for credit must be complete and fully assembled. There will be no credit given on returns with missing parts, bent shafts or disassembled units.

Core credit will not be given if the returned core is not the same part as the new part purchased. Returned cores must be an identical match with the unit purchased.

Core credit will not be given if core does not arrive at The Mustang Shop of San Diego or one of our Authorized Centers.

Return Procedures

Core Return Special Instructions

Remove any items from the core that may be needed for proper installation of a new replacement part.

Empty fluids from the core as much as possible.

Put the core in plastic bag and seal the bag.

Put bagged core in manufacturer’s box from new part.

Please include your Name, Billing Address and Phone # inside the package for quick processing.

Upon receipt and inspection, The Mustang Shop of San Diego will apply a credit for the core’s value per the preceding policy. Customer will be notified of value by phone or by email if core is shipped to The Mustang Shop of San Diego.

How to Return a Part if You Have Lost the Receipt Form

The shipment receipt contains the vital information needed to process a return. If you do not have this information, you have two options:

Tuning Policies

ACCEPTANCE OF AGREEMENT: You agree to the terms and conditions outlined in this Terms and Conditions of use Agreement (Agreement) with respect to product listed. This Agreement constitutes the entire and only agreement between The Mustang Shop of San Diego and you, and supersedes all prior or contemporaneous agreements, representations, warranties and understandings with respect to the product and services listed on the The Mustang Shop of San Diego website, and the subject matter of this Agreement. This Agreement may be amended by us at any time and at any frequency without specific notice to you. The latest Agreement will be posted on this web page, and you should review this Agreement prior to purchasing the product.

INDEMNIFICATION: You agree to indemnify, defend and hold us, our officers, our shareholders, our partners, attorneys and employees harmless from any and all liability, loss, damages, claim and expense, including reasonable attorney’s fees, related to your violation of this Agreement or use of the product and services listed.

DISCLAIMER: By purchasing this product from The Mustang Shop of San Diego, you are agreeing to all sections of the disclaimer below.

INSTALLATION OF PRODUCT: The use of any The Mustang Shop of San Diego custom tuning product or service may or may not void the vehicle’s factory warranty, and it is the sole responsibility of customer to verify this with their vehicle manufacturer. We are not responsible for OEM or aftermarket parts of the vehicle that are damaged due to improper installation, prior to purchasing our product or service. If in doubt, please have all aftermarket parts fitted by a professional installer.

CONDITION OF VEHICLE: The Mustang Shop of San Diego assumes that all vehicles being programmed through our product or service are in good working condition, and have been reviewed by the customer or professional to ensure that the vehicle will be able to handle additional power and performance. It is the customer’s sole responsibility to ensure this information is accurate. The Mustang Shop of San Diego will not be held liable for any unforeseen damage that may happen to the vehicle. If the vehicle is not running in a normal state after installing our product or using our services, it is the customer’s sole responsibility to immediately return the vehicle to stock programming, and notify The Mustang Shop of San Diego immediately of the issue.

SAFETY: The Mustang Shop of San Diego is not responsible for improper, unsafe, reckless, or careless driving of vehicles after installing any of our products or using our services. The Mustang Shop of San Diego does not encourage violating any State or Federal laws. The Mustang Shop of San Diego assumes our product or service will be used for off-road and/or race use only.

OFF ROAD USE: All The Mustang Shop of San Diego tuning products or services are designed for off-road/race use only, and are not for legal sale for on-road vehicles in states that require pollution controlled vehicles.

Pricing Policies

We at The Mustang Shop of San Diego do our very best at keeping our pricing current with manufacturer’s requirements as well as keeping current with the market. As such, our pricing is subject to changes made within these parameters.

These changes normally occur after the first of the year, when most manufacturers asses their current pricing structure, and make changes as they see fit. However, pricing can change at other times throughout the year, and thus the pricing at the time of orders will be subject to the current manufacturer and market specific pricing when the order was placed.

The Mustang Shop of San Diego will always provide the best service, and if there is ever an issue with price changes, we will do our best to make you happy within our power.

HID Warranty Policy

If there is ever any issue with any component in your HID kit, it is warrantied for life. We always recommend professional installation by a reputable shop with electrical experience. If an item is received under warranty and the item is found to not be defective, there will be a $35 electrical assessment fee. The customer will also be responsible for any return shipping of any items found to not be defective.

International Shipping

We proudly provide service to our international customers. For payment, we only accept bank wire transfers for all international orders. There are additional shipping charges associated with shipping internationally. Please call us at 619-269-0964 to get a international freight quote.
